Julian of Norwich, a 14th century Christian mystic, spoke of the radar seeking only Love, when she wrote that all of us can gain an ability to know “All Is Well,” even smack in the middle of a full blown tragedy. The mystical mind is awakened when we operate from the loving field.
After Tomaso took his last breath, and CV19 overtook our lives, Pearl the dog became my love radar. She helped me rest in Divine Presence, even as I attended to the affairs of the world. I enrolled in online spiritual retreats and Pearl laid at my feet as I meditated. We slowed down together to capture all that went unnoticed in the mad rush preceding the pandemic. In Pearl, I tuned into her unconditional love, thus together we smelled divine aromas, tasted the sweetness of quenched thirst. I saw clearly for the first time in my life.
Pearl taught me to tune into her quiet and peaceful soul, easy to miss in mindless rote activities. When we allow our companion animals to take the lead, our souls expand into the heart of nature.
We are renewed when we ask our animals to guide us, for they know more about Love, because that is what they are. The love of our companion animals opens the door of regeneration, revealing Divine Intelligence. This renewal sparks the fire of sacred longing, leading to an ever deepening spiritual search.
My intuitive Love Radar is roving, today. May it seek and find illumination, the luminosity, the miracle, knowing all is well, no matter what is happening in the world. OM
