For those of us moved by prayer, we know challenges arise to stir within us the unceasing change that turns the wheel of life. We see we can dwell peacefully and wholeheartedly in this lifetime, even in the face of aging, illness and death. In this spirit of acceptance and peace, we glimpse a collage of our true selves: eternal, infinite beings. We are nothing we previously thought we were. We certainly are not our aging, our youth, our illness or death. We are not our wealth, poverty, our hopes or our dreams. Nor are we our ambitions.
When facing great change, as in Tomaso and brother Delaney’s sudden death, coupled with the pandemic, we suddenly realize what was once seen as important- the money, the job, the perfect family- dwarfs when all these things are thrown into the cauldron of life’s messy lessons. Only then can we dwell and re-emerge as humble humans- free of ego, content in the here and now, the only timelessness there is.
Prayer Is Gratitude-Gratitude Is Prayer
Thank you for showing us our prayers today are kindness in motion: kindness as endless love, with endurance to overcome those things that without love, are unendurable; kindness waiting for us to use it, for it is changeless and eternal, like Love.
The power of kindness is the power of prayer because both breakdown barriers that prevent us from experiencing the great River of endless Love.
For we are the River. We are the Love. OM
