Each ACIM lesson hammers the choice we all have in any given moment: whether to see through the eyes of love, or fear of ego mind.
I’ve been having a recent tug of war between the solar company who put solar panels on my roof and the township inspectors who keep failing the project, and the war within as impending winter approaches.
One morning this week, I awoke with the sound track the solar panel company uses when they put me on hold, rolling relentlessly through my head.
I immediately put on a Krishna Das chant and went on to do a more extended meditation. My choice is to see these entities as friends or enemies. For me, there is only one choice.
God’s will for me is perfect happiness, says The Course. Therefore, I make the choice to be happy the moment I open my eyes every morning. Each day is a new beginning. Each breath is the beginning and end of that moment in time. Now. Now. Now.
So I give the past and future to the Holy Spirit as I forgive and lend reality to only loving thoughts and actions, in this moment, in this instant, with each breath.
The breath is a fundamental part of my daily practice. It is a centering and balancing tool for transformation. As I look within today, to reveal the inner world of splendor, not guilt, all daily encounters take on a new flavor.
Mainly, I hang out with my dog Pearl, who exemplifies perfect happiness. She has much to teach before her journey over the Rainbow Bridge. OM
